Here's what you can expect from a Sunday at SCC:
Whether you are new in town or new to Jesus, checking out churches can be really hard. You may have questions like:
These are all valid questions to ask when looking for a church! So, here is a brief run-down of what to expect at any gathering at Solsberry:
- Where do I go?
- What do I do with my kids?
- What will the music be like?
- What is the teaching like?
- What will people be wearing?
- Will it be weird?
- Am I wasting a Sunday morning only to find out that this is just not the right fit for me?
These are all valid questions to ask when looking for a church! So, here is a brief run-down of what to expect at any gathering at Solsberry:
- We are a church filled with ordinary people of all ages, people generally dress in a way that is comfortable (lots of jeans, some dresses, khakis and an occasional coat and tie...usually not the preacher).
- We love kids and there are many here. There is Jr Church during the message portion of the service led by caring people in the fellowship hall. Teens meet Sunday afternoon and all have great Teaching classes following worship at 11:00.
- You will hear a message from the Bible that is focused on helping to make faith work Monday through Sunday.
- You will hear contemporary worship songs and some hymns...we have guitars, drums and a keyboard. Our goal is to help each person express their love for God as they sing.
- Weekly communion is open to all Christians and we hope you will participate with us.
- Offering is the time in worship where the people who are a part of Solsberry Christian Church support the ministries of the church and missions around the world. As a guest there is no obligation to participate in the offering.
